Our meeting cost covers dinner and we always have plenty to share.

Our members shared that they are in the land, excavating, flipping, landlords, own land in Puerto Rico,  fishing camps, and some newbies at our opening of the meeting.  We’re looking forward to getting to know and do business with our members as we get to know each other better. 

Peter Bostwick  (phone number 315-426-1601) taught us about  constantly changing rules for investors and went over what is available now.  We had information from Green Lakes (phone number 315-671-1234 ask for Erich Shafer), hard money lender here in Syracuse.  We also went over seller financed mortgages and how to buy notes.

Jennifer Cuadrado also from Syracuse Securities gave a presentation on residential loans.  She also had vast experience on her side.  She spoke about FHA and FHA 203k for homebuyers, and other first time homebuyer products.  Her phone number is 315-424-3200 x 244. 

Mr. Jerome Fine, from Photos by Fine made a presentation.  He does aerial photography of properties, architectural photographs of properties for sale, postcard mailers, and commercial photography.  I’m going to definitely use him next time I need photos of my properties!  He can be reached at 315-682-7272.

Donovan Pieterse gave a presentation about the value of time and money as it relates to inflation, real estate and mortgages.  In short, hold onto your low interest rate mortgages that you are getting now and don’t pay off early.  You’ll reap the benefit of inflation.  Inflation kills Cash, it kills Debt according to Donovan. 

Carlotta Brown presented the first of several future presentations of “Where to get Money”.  We talked about Self Directed Ira’s and many local lenders.

Lonnie Chu our webmaster talked about some of the changes we can make to our site here to make is more interactive.  Stay tuned, things are going to change.

I spoke a little about Self Directed IRA’s.  Next month we will have the packages from Equity Trust, one of the companies in the country that have this special investing feature.

We got to know some of our members much better last night and what they had to sell and what they are looking for.  Some are looking for good deals to buy, some have properties for sale, and some members are looking for equity partners.
